The Asheville City Schools Foundation offers several ways to honor special occasions, achievements, or memories of friends and loved ones. At your request, the Foundation will notify the appropriate person of your thoughtfulness and keep the amount of your gift confidential. We are honored to recognize our community members through the work of ACSF.
Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts maximize ACSF’s ability to remain innovative and responsive to the evolving needs of our students and our schools. These gifts support a wide array of ACSF programs, including engaging after-school programming, classroom artists in residency, emergency assistance for school social workers, community engagement initiatives, and grants to educators and city schools to implement bold strategies.
Designated Gifts
You may choose to remember or honor a loved one by designating your gift to one of ACSF’s programs or initiatives, including: In Real Life After-School, TAPAS Artist Residencies, Emergency Assistance, Grants to Educators, Racial Equity Ambassadors, and the Someone Cares Fund.
Memorial and Honorary Scholarships
ACSF envisions a day when every Asheville High and SILSA graduate who wants to attend college can graduate from the in-state school of their choice, debt-free. The Asheville Promise is a community funded scholarship receiving memorial and honorarium gifts under $30,000. Those remembered or honored will be recognized in the Awards Night program and have the option to have an Asheville Promise Scholarship awarded in their honor that year:
$5-$999 - Recognition in the Awards Night program and www.acsf.org
$1,000 - $29,999 - Recognition in the Awards Night program, online at www.acsf.org, and an Asheville Promise Scholarship will be awarded in their honor that year
$30,000 and above - Memorial and honorary scholarship gifts over $30,000 have the option to contribute to the Asheville Promise Scholarship, or become a named fund with unique awarding criteria
