Viviana Barba

Viviana Barba is the In Real Life (IRL) Afterschool Coordinator and is excited to begin her second year with the Asheville City Schools Foundation. A graduate of the University of North Carolina Asheville, Viviana earned her degree in Sociology after spending four years falling in love with Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

She joined the Foundation to pursue meaningful, community-centered work and has found tremendous joy in helping students discover new interests, amplify their voices, and connect with engaging afterschool experiences through IRL. Outside of work, Viviana enjoys exploring Asheville's food scene, spending time outdoors, tackling craft projects, and getting completely absorbed in a good book or TV series.
