An Innovation grant project is a new response to a challenge in the classroom, or a replication and expansion of a proven model that exists elsewhere. It is intended to improve student learning, through the use of materials and other resources. All projects are expected to fall under one of more of the following categories: teacher practice, student social and emotional support, STEM, early childhood, and literacy. Grants range from $200 to $5,000.
Although the primary applicants of the projects grants must be Asheville City Schools employees, parents, family members and community members are encouraged to partner with teachers and staff in creating these projects.
APPLICATIONS FOR 2018-19 WILL OPEN MARCH 2018
