HOME > How You Can Support The ACS Foundation

The Asheville City Schools Foundation (ACSF) is an autonomous 501(c)(3) that supports the students of Asheville City Schools. It is independent of the Asheville City School System and receives no federal or state funding. The ACS Foundation is supported by individual and corporate donations, grants from philanthropic organizations, special events, product sales and "fee for services" programs. By definition, the ACS Foundation is a "local education fund," one of many across the country. LEFs are nonprofit, community-based organizations dedicated to increasing student achievment in public schools and building broad-based support for quality public education.

The ACS Foundation approaches all activites and programs from the position of acting in the best interest of the students.
