At the heart of every successful student experience is an inspired, passionate, and highly trained teacher. The Asheville City Schools Foundation supports and retains excellent teachers through the grants and scholarships described below. Each year, we provide more than $60,000 in funds directly to teachers and classrooms to implement excellent teaching, inspire new projects and increase student achievement and enthusiasm.
We provide additional supports through Academic Coaches and Emergency Assistance. Both of these programs allow teachers to access additional supports for struggling students. The Asheville City Schools Foundation raises more $25,000 annually to “fund” the academic coaching and emergency assistance. |
